What type of BUTTERFLIES are you trying to attract?
The Tallapoosa Garden Friends are starting a butterfly garden at the entrance to our city cemetery, Hollywood Cemetery., in a sunny area around a fountain and gazebo, which was a shady spot until a storm blew down several aged oak trees last year.. We are interested in attracting as many butterflies as we can!
What NECTAR and HOST plants are in your garden?
We are starting this butterfly garden from scratch this spring (2024) We have most of the hard scape in place, and plan to plant butterfly attracting shrubs, perennials, and annuals, known to support butterfly populations, including but not limited to lantana, zinnias, cosmos, milkweed, sweetshrub, native azaleas, etc. Any other suggestions welcome
