The Sparta-Hancock Pollinator Gardens hope to attract native butterflies, as well as migrating Monarchs. All pollinators are welcome in this teeming community garden, which began as a food source for the library bees.

Fennel; Magnolia, Azaleas; Holly Bushes; Crape Myrtles; Cherry Trees; Coriopsis; Clover; native grasses; herbs; assorted annuals & wildflowers. Sparta-Hancock County Library is also home to the first live observation beehive housed within a library in the State of Georgia. This vibrant hive is utilized for educational purposes, to promote the importance of bees in a healthy ecosystem, and to encourage personal beekeeping.
